Styx and Boston Rocked the Thomas and Mack in Las Vegas!
On Saturday, June 28th, we headed over to the Thomas and Mack for it’s 25th anniversary celebration featuring a concert with legendary bands; Styx and Boston.
I have seen Styx so many time over the last decade that I wasn’t sure if they could maintain their legendary status after all these years, but they came out on stage and ROCKED THE MACK! The sound quality was phenomenal and the energy was off the charts. Hit after hit and the crowd was loving it.
Once Styx ended their set, I mentioned that Boston had some serious big shoes to fill after that incredible Styx performance. Boston hasn’t toured quite as often as Styx, so it has been a while since I last saw them live and with a new singer to boot. But when they got things going, they rocked the stage as well. I think Boston is more of an instrumental sounding band as opposed to Styx that seems more vocalized. Therefore the performance was slightly different, but top notch for sure.
Overall I would give the edge to Styx on overall performance if I had to choose a winner between the two bands. Luckily it wasn’t a competition and I didn’t have to choose just one band to see, we got two great performances in one night on one stage and I would go again next week if I could.
See ya at th next show!!
